Why we choose Agus Zack’s track
The competition was fierce, and choosing just one standout track was no easy feat for our team. After hours of careful listening and deliberation, we are thrilled to announce Agus Zack as the winner of this round.
It wasn't an easy choice, but Agus delivered a masterclass in sonic impact. Here is exactly what set his track apart:
Flawless Low End:
Agus crafted a bottom end that doesn’t just play; it vibrates. It perfectly transfers that raw, physical club energy directly to your ears, ensuring the groove is felt as much as it is heard.
Genre Mastery:
This isn’t just a "track" - it’s a testament to a deep understanding of Techno. Agus respects the DNA of the genre while pushing it forward with modern precision.
Impeccable Sound Selection:
Every element belongs. From the vocal to the synth textures, the sound selection is intentional, cohesive, and professional.
Agus Zack didn't just submit a song; he submitted an experience that belongs on the world's biggest stages. Congratulations, Agus! We can’t wait to hear what you drop next.
Listen to the winning track below, and check out a Q&A with him to dive into their creative process, inspirations, and what it takes to craft an award-winning track.
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself and your journey into music production. When did things start getting serious for you?
A: I started producing music when I was 16 years old. Things became more serious for me once I decided to start releasing my own tracks through record labels and sharing my music with the world. That was the moment I realized I wanted to fully commit myself to this path.
Q: What originally pulled you into producing electronic music, and what kept you going when things got difficult?
A: At that time, I was already working as a DJ, and I became really curious about creating my own music and developing my sound. I started producing inspired by artists like Tiësto, David Guetta, and many others who introduced me to electronic music and shaped my vision early on.
Q: How would you describe your sound right now? What artists, scenes, or
influences shaped it?
A: Right now, my sound is based on blending different genres like Techno, Bigroom, and Trance. Artists such as Hardwell had a huge influence on me while developing this style. I think this combination works especially well in live performances because of the energy and euphoric atmosphere it creates on the dancefloor.
Q: Walk us through the making of your winning track. What was the original idea and how did the track evolve while you were producing it?
A: The idea for the winning track started with the vocal. I decided to build the entire atmosphere around it and use it as the main element of the track. From there, I created the drops and breaks, aiming for a darker vibe while still keeping enough energy to make it powerful for clubs and festivals.
Q: What part of producing still excites you the most when you open your DAW?
A: What still excites me the most when opening the DAW is the creative side of production. I always try to create something fresh and different. I like keeping my own identity while constantly experimenting and evolving my sound.
Q: What are you currently working on? Any upcoming releases or goals for the next year?
A: Currently, I’m working on some new tracks, including both solo projects and collaborations. I don’t have any official releases scheduled yet, but one of my biggest goals for this year is to expand internationally as a DJ and start performing in different countries around the world.
Q: For producers thinking about entering Make It next year: what would you tell them after going through the process yourself?
A: I would tell every producer entering Make It to focus on building a strong and unique idea. Try to create something that truly represents you and stands out from the rest instead of following trends too closely.
Q: Quick one: what’s your current DAW and one plugin you couldn’t live without?
A: My current DAW is FL Studio, and one plugin I definitely couldn’t live without is Nexus.
